Hello, I’m Sara — illustrator, painter, and author

I’m a Seattle-based illustrator and designer with a love for painting food. My watercolors have appeared in magazines and journals, in addition to a career in design, and fine art paintings spanning more than two decades.

What began as a hungry little passion project grew into a blog, and then The Starving Artist Cookbook — an illustrated love letter to anyone learning their way around a kitchen. Today those paintings live on as art prints, made to bring a little warmth and flavor to your space.
